Handcrafted from the finest natural fibers
Brenda met master hatter, Tom Hirt, Hats of the West, when she took his hat making class in Trinidad, Colorado in 2020. Brenda continues to study with Tom and has perfected her skill so that she can provide the highest quality custom hats available today. Brenda has had the pleasure of creating Western hats, Fedoras, Pork Pie hats, Bowlers, and even some Top Hats. In the Spring and Summer, Brenda works with fine Equadorian toquilla straw, also known as "Panama Straw" hats, and Guatamalan palm straw hats. Brenda also provides hat cleaning, re-shaping, and total restorations with new sweatbands and liners.
Brenda has lived on her ranchette with her Suri alpacas and English angora rabbits since 2016. In that time, Brenda has learned to clean, card, spin and dye the fiber she collects and transforms it into luxurious handspun yarn. Brenda weaves her buttery alpaca yarn into the finest garments that are as beautiful to wear as they are warm and soft. Brenda also works with the most discerning designers who import additional alpaca garments from Peru, the most popular of which are warm and durable socks. And if that's not enough, Brenda creates gorgeous Nuno felted and hand-painted silk scaves that are the perfect accessory to compliment your unique style!
